[14:58:41] <mfilion> o/
[14:59:42] <Lyude> mdnavare, mfilion, hwentlan, anholt, danvet, samuelig, keithp - hi everyone! it's time for roll call, who all is here?
[15:00:02] <hwentlan> Hello
[15:00:05] <keithp> hi ho
[15:00:39] <Lyude> cool - looks like we've got quorum :). For the agenda today we've got: X.org/freedesktop.org domain status, requesting ledger data, XDC2020 invoices status, XDC2021, XDC2022, XDC2022 sponsors, HDMI 2.1, EVoC, sharing of non-redistributable game traces within X.org members, equinox meeting
[15:01:14] * danvet waves
[15:01:18] <Lyude> I can go over EVoC and requesting ledger data first. For EVoC: still haven't had a chance to respond to trevor's email, this week and next still look busy but hopefully I should have the time very soon
[15:01:22] <samuelig> hi! o/
[15:01:35] <mdnavare> Hi everyone
[15:01:35] <Lyude> For requesting ledger data: haven't heard any updates on this yet
[15:02:03] <danvet> Lyude, domain status: keithp&daniels replied, but I haven't figured out yet what to do with it because distractions :-(
[15:02:34] <Lyude> danvet: np. mdnavare - any updates on XDC2020 invoices?
[15:04:21] <mdnavare> Lyude: you mean XDC 2021?
[15:04:24] <danvet> I guess I can sneak in with xdc21 sponsor hunt update: I've stalled a bit to not drown mdnavare in pending invoice requests, but I think that's caught up now so I plan to do the next patch
[15:04:38] <Lyude> mdnavare: oh did we finally resolve intel's invoice?
[15:04:38] <danvet> no xdc22 sponsors, your agenda is a bit much ahead :-)
[15:04:54] <Lyude> also oops, yeah I incremented the year by accident
[15:04:56] <mdnavare> Lyude: danvet: Let me first update on XDC 2021 invoices
[15:05:08] <Lyude> mdnavare: sure thing
[15:05:35] <mdnavare> Lyude: danvet: So Sent the invoice requests to SPI, invoices sent to Igalia and Collabora already
[15:05:49] <mdnavare> Igalia already paid and waiting confirmation from Martin
[15:06:15] <samuelig> mdnavare, update the respective issues at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorgfoundation/bod-archive/-/issues Igalia one is already updated by me.
[15:06:18] <mdnavare> For Invoices to be created, I have requested info from Google and Intel and will send the invoice request to SPI for them
[15:06:35] <mdnavare> samuelig: Yes will update the others
[15:06:42] <samuelig> cool!
[15:07:16] <mdnavare> danvet: So danvet all the pending invoice requests on track now
[15:08:30] <samuelig> Lyude, add to the agenda de Gitlab sponsorship collaboration
[15:08:41] <danvet> mdnavare, awesome, thx a lot
[15:08:51] <Lyude> ah right - btw, we have an agenda label on the gitlab issues
[15:09:13] <Lyude> samuelig: also - just added it
[15:09:43] <Lyude> mdnavare: alright, guessing that's all from your side?
[15:10:09] <mdnavare> Yes
[15:10:29] <Lyude> Cool. samuelig - XDC2021/XDC2022 updates?
[15:10:53] <samuelig> No news
[15:11:02] <mfilion> Lyude add to the agenda the email we received about the article for LPI
[15:11:40] <samuelig> Only thing to mention is that we have one month ahead to gather more talk submissions. At this moment we only have 2 talks submitted.
[15:11:57] <samuelig> With regard XDC 2022, no news either.
[15:12:07] <Lyude> mfilion: right-thanks for catching that one
[15:12:30] <Lyude> samuelig: awesome, love not having to type meeting minutes for more items :)
[15:12:47] <Lyude> hwentlan: you around for HDMI 2.1 updates?
[15:13:16] <mfilion> samuelig are we going to send out a reminder for the Cfp?
[15:13:35] <hwentlan> i'm around, but no updates on the HDMI 2.1 stuff yet
[15:13:37] <samuelig> mfilion, yes, in two weeks.
[15:13:38] <danvet> yeah probably need a few cfp reminders
[15:13:40] * anholt joins finally
[15:13:50] <hwentlan> i'll give the hdmi forum a bit more time before pinging their admin again
[15:14:46] <Lyude> hwentlan: sgtm, next up is sharing of non-redistributable game traces within X.org members, anholt ?
[15:15:37] <mfilion> samuelig its been two weeks already, I would send out a reminder next week, as in two weeks that means there will only be two weeks left to submit
[15:15:40] <anholt> one spi board member replied saying they didn't really think that having spi involved would help because surely a google nda would require that spi pass on basically the same requirements to our members as signing a google nda
[15:15:57] <samuelig> mfilion, ok. I'll send a reminder next week then. Thanks!
[15:16:13] <mfilion> cool thanks :)
[15:16:20] <samuelig> :D
[15:16:24] <anholt> google ndas have a nice smooth path for handling companies with employees, but I think for something special like us we'd need to take the special case path and I'm not optimistic about that.
[15:17:09] <anholt> so currently thinking of dropping this attempt and basically just individual driver teams can opt into doing nonredistributable trace testing and their core devs (who surely have access!) end up having to debug issues with nonredistributable traces.
[15:18:07] <Lyude> that's a bit of a shame, is there anyone at google who might be able to help with looking into the logistics for this?
[15:19:15] <anholt> So far I seem to have gone farther down investigating this than a bunch of other likely people I've asked about it.
[15:20:17] <Lyude> anholt: sigh, you'd hope that google would be a bit more motivated looking into this seeing as they were one of the ones that actually wanted this
[15:20:38] <danvet> I guess it's just very big company process, and you can't change
[15:20:39] <danvet> it
[15:20:53] <danvet> which is a bummer, but oh well
[15:20:56] <samuelig> mdnavare, there is one issue open about Intel's XDC 2020 sponsorship. I think we can close it right?
[15:21:38] <Lyude> anholt: I guess do what you can but if you end up having to drop it I guess there's not much that we can do
[15:21:54] <Lyude> mfilion: want to go over the equinox meeting status real quick?
[15:24:48] <mfilion> sure as mentioned last time, now that benjamin emailed them, I'm going to email them back just to say hello and say we're working on giving them more visibility, and if they need anything to get in touch with me. Just haven't had a chance to write that yet. Off on vacation in 3 weeks so will absolutely get this done.
[15:25:00] <Lyude> sgtm
[15:25:08] <Lyude> next up is the gitlab sponsorship collaboration, samuelig ?
[15:25:23] <Lyude> also jfyi - you do have quorum for that, as I gave my +1 right before the meeting :)
[15:26:15] <mfilion> same, I replied during the meeting lol
[15:26:23] <samuelig> Like last year, Gitlab offers us a sponsorship exchange between our respective conferences: we get open-source sponsorship package in GitLab Commit 2021 and they will get Bronze level in XDC, which is more or less equivalent.
[15:26:23] <mfilion> thanks again samuelig for taking care of that
[15:26:31] <mdnavare> samuelig: Yes as far as I know from Intel tracking, its been paid
[15:26:56] <samuelig> yeah, the board approved it. I am just facilitating the introduction to the topic in the minutes :)
[15:27:11] <samuelig> mdnavare, cool! I'm closing it!
[15:27:12] * danvet with a late +1
[15:27:56] <Lyude> cool
[15:28:03] <samuelig> I'm going to reply to Nuritzi
[15:28:11] <Lyude> mfilion: do you want to go over the LPI email?
[15:30:27] <mfilion> Sure. We received an email from Andy Oram over at LPI, saying he was asked to write an article on the X Window System
[15:30:32] <mfilion> "The audience for the article is students or other people interested in free software, but lacking much technical background."
[15:30:44] <mfilion> He's asking if can do a review for accuracy
[15:31:00] <mfilion> Feels like something keithp might be up to doing if he has time? :)
[15:31:37] <mfilion> Or if anyone else has time of course (I would be happy to review but I don't know nearly enough about X haha)
[15:32:00] <Lyude> yeah, I don't really know enough about X either
[15:32:10] <Lyude> I think keithp could probably help and ajax might be able to as well
[15:32:18] <Lyude> whot probably knows a good bit about this stuff as well
[15:33:54] <Lyude> keithp: you around?
[15:34:18] <danvet> I'm sure daniels would be happy to resurface all the old X knowledge too
[15:34:53] <Lyude> it sounds like it'd probably be a good idea to just forward this email to the xorg mailing lists and cc the appropriate folks
[15:35:45] <Lyude> is everyone OK with that?
[15:35:51] <samuelig> +1
[15:36:14] <hwentlan> +1
[15:36:26] <danvet> yeah
[15:36:52] <anholt> +1
[15:37:07] <Lyude> alright - I'll go ahead and do that sometinme today
[15:37:22] <Lyude> that's everything on the agenda for today, thanks for coming everyone!
[15:37:24] <mfilion> cool, thanks Lyude
[15:39:17] <keithp> Lyude: sorry, cats. Sure, would be happy to review
[15:40:16] <mfilion> Thanks keithp!
[15:41:01] <samuelig> thanks Lyude!
[15:41:16] <samuelig> thanks keithp!
[15:49:54] <Lyude> keithp: you've gotta post pics of your cats sometime :)
[15:51:06] <Lyude> and keithp np - let me know if you still want me to post this to the xorg list or not
